Rock Preparation and Collection Facility
A jewel in the ILEPS complex is the Rock Preparation and Collections suite, with well-lit sample and core examination tables, equipment for macro- and microphotography of specimens and core slabs, upgraded facilities for slicing, slabbing, cutting, crushing, and powdering earth materials for physical-chemical analysis, and a Hilquist cutoff saw and thin section grinder.
